Miriam is currently a student under the IACP completing her post graduate diploma in Integrated Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Miriam holds a Masters in Applied Psychology from University College Cork with an emphasis on mental health. Miriam is also trained in both Mindfulness where she has delivered workshops and Life Coaching. Miriam’s experience includes working for a number of years with adults who are on the autism spectrum including aspergers. Additionally, she has worked with services to support them to become trauma informed. She has also worked for a number of years in corporate environments and understands the stress and demands that come from work.
She uses various therapeutic approaches working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression and trauma. She believes that every individual is unique and will have different needs and desired outcomes for their therapeutic process. With that in mind, whatever each specific client is seeking will be respected and worked towards.
She believes that a therapeutic relationship offers a safe context to explore personal growth, acceptance of ourselves and most importantly, a liberating feeling of being understood regardless of psychological issues.
